My Experience with GlobeKick

By Jeff Catlin

I never saw myself as being much of a world traveler before joining GlobeKick – that was always my sister, Tracy. Admittedly, I was always jealous of her international travels, but too hesitant to take the leap myself. It wasn’t that I was nervous of traveling abroad, I simply lacked the knowledge and experience to plan a note-worthy adventure on my own. After a couple years of declining offers to travel abroad with her, she introduced me to GlobeKick. For me, the immediate appeal of GlobeKick came in knowing that these trips have been carefully planned by an experienced team of world travelers.

Within the past year I have been fortunate enough to explore Morocco, Panama, Cambodia and Norway. I can’t say for certain that I wouldn’t have gone to these countries on my own one day, but I know without GlobeKick it would not have been the same. With each trip, GlobeKick puts an emphasis on cultural immersion. This travel style provides a unique glimpse into each countries’ culture that is truly authentic and makes the experience one of a kind.

What I have cherished more than anything over these last 9 months are the friendships that have come from joining GlobeKick. Sharing such monumental travel experiences with others establishes a connection that will last a lifetime. These relationships that have formed are as invaluable as the places we have gone and things we have seen.

Many people may shudder at the thought of traveling with many strangers but rest assured GlobeKick has done an incredible job of gathering like-minded people and creating a supportive travel community. I am honored to be a part of such a unique organization that is wholly committed to their mission of creating everlasting travel experiences. The leaderships’ passion for adventure is contagious and they genuinely care for every member of the community they have built.

Joining GlobeKick has been unlike joining any other organization. The places you will go, the people you will meet, and the experiences you will share will undoubtedly change the way in which you view the world. My top 3 experiences with GlobeKick have been: sitting atop a sand dune watching the sun set in the Sahara, swimming through the crystal clear waters surrounding the remote San Blas islands, and adventuring through the Cambodian jungle to observe elephants in their natural habitat. These are experiences I will forever remember. I can’t say thank you enough to the GlobeKick team for all their hard work in making this style of remote travel so easily accessible to all.
