Live the Sweet Life
Join Collette Hill for a full week of Yoga, Meditation, and La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) during this holistic wellness immersion under the Tuscan sun. Live the Italian way - slowing down and connecting with yourself, communing with nature, and savoring lovingly-prepared meals sourced from local farms and served family style.
7 days of yoga, meditation, countryside exploring, horseback riding, kayaking, cooking classes, wine tasting, and more (May 22 - 29, 2019)
Stay in a picturesque, farmhouse cottage in the Tuscan countryside
Only a 10 minute walk from the Mediterranean Sea and a short drive or train ride to Florence and Rome
Enjoy locally-sourced meals from neighboring farms, including some of the best loved traditional Italian dishes
The Location
We will be staying at Tenuta San Carlo, an organic rice farm which lies within the Maremma Natural Park, a protected area of ecological, historical and cultural significance.
What to Expect
Mornings: Vinyasa flow class followed by a guided meditation to set focus for the day ahead. The morning class will be followed by a healthy breakfast made from ingredients sourced from nearby farms.
Afternoons: Explore as you choose: take a 10 minute walk to the Mediterranean seaside, rent a car or take the train to nearby Rome or Florence, enjoy one of the additional excursions provided by our hosts (horseback riding, kayaking, cooking classes, wine tasting and more!) or simply enjoy exploring the farm, picking vegetables or feeding the animals. Lunch will be served buffet-style for those who choose to stay onsite.
Evenings: Yin + Restore practice to ready the body and mind for total relaxation before joining together to share about our day over a late dinner (and maybe some vino!) Finally, turn in at night to your farmhouse apartment (3 to 4 people per apartment) which include amenities (bathroom, kitchenette, linens, internet).
The Location: Tenuta San Carlo is located near Grosseto-- a beautiful city nearly on the edge of the Tuscan region. Grosseto is known as the political and cultural center of the Maremma – Tuscany’s wilder, coastal territory, often overlooked by tourists. It’s an ideal base for exploring the surrounding hilltops and sea sections. The historic center is dense, closed off by a beautifully preserved, circular medieval wall.
Love: Collette is so excited to share with you her deep love for Italian culture (in fact, she studied Italian culture and language in college). She is thrilled to partner with an amazing, female-run farm right in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of the world - owned and operated by her dear friend, Ariane Lotti. Andiamo!
