Volunteer on an Elephant Sanctuary in Cambodia

About the Adventure

Jamie describes his first trip to Cambodia as "life-changing." To him, there's no other place like this on the planet. The warmth of the Cambodian people, still overcoming scars left by the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime of the 1970's, is truly astounding. Starting in Phnom Penh, we'll explore what makes the history and people of Cambodia special, before traveling to the jungles of Mondulkiri to volunteer on an Elephant Sanctuary. The highlights of this trip include:
  • Meeting elephants and enjoying 3 days of elephant watching & volunteering on the Sanctuary

  • Learning about the power of forgiveness through the personal stories and perspectives of Cambodian people whose families were affected by the Khmer Rouge

  • Visiting the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields and S-21 Genocidal Prison Museum

  • Enjoying a sunset dinner cruise down the Mekong River in Phnom Penh

December 8 -14, 2019
